about

"Reach You" is one of the most poignant of the 10 songs and contains the album title within it. It recalls a powerful lost love and my desire to keep such passion alive, however distant. I use percussion such as claves, African shakers, finger clicks and most notably a pair of bongos! I opted for layers of classical Spanish guitar (rather than steel strung) for a gentler tone.

lyrics

Lyrics:

I miss the light behind your eyes,
It's as though you're dead and gone,
Now I watch and I wait
Hoping something will change
In my life had no sign for so long,
Woah woah woah yeah,

I miss the smile that made me whole,
The kiss that took my heart and so
Like flowers they begin to fade,
Violets on an open grave...

But I can still see you,
I know I can reach you
Somehow, somewhere,
Someway, someday

They say the soul's a real thing
I would let it show,
I sing out for you so you feel it too,
Don't forget your white wings,
Don't you know that there's a dress-code,
For every ghost, for everything,
Woah woah woah yeah...

I miss the night before the fall,
The Fire & The Icicle,
I'm cold in the dark
But I still hold a spark for you girl,
Gotta hope in my heart.

Cos I can still see you,
I know I can reach you
Somehow, somewhere,
Someway, someday

They say the soul's a real thing
I would let it show,
I sing out for you so you feel it too,
Don't forget your white wings,
Don't you know that there's a dress-code,
For every ghost, for everything...

Woah...Do do do do do do...

They say the soul's a real thing
I would let it show,
Sing out for you so you feel it too,
Don't forget your white wings,
Don't you know that there's a dress-code,
For every ghost, forever.
They say the soul's a real thing
I would let it show,
I sing out for you so you feel it too,
Don't forget your white wings,
Don't you know that there's a dress-code,
For every ghost, for everything

Woah woah woah, yeah yeah yeah yeah...
